🛂 Do You Need a Visa to Enter Egypt?

Most travelers require a visa to enter Egypt. However, the process depends on your nationality and travel purpose.

There are three main options:

1️⃣ Egypt e-Visa (Recommended)

Travelers from eligible countries can apply online through the official Egypt e-Visa system before departure.

✔ Single-entry visa: Valid for 30 days
✔ Multiple-entry visa: Valid for 90 days
✔ Processing time: Typically 3–7 business days

This is the easiest and fastest method for most tourists.

2️⃣ Visa on Arrival

Citizens of selected countries can obtain a visa upon arrival at major Egyptian airports such as:

• ✈ Cairo International Airport

• ✈ Hurghada International Airport

• ✈ Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport

Visa on arrival:
✔ Valid for 30 days
✔ Payable in USD (cash recommended)

3️⃣ Consulate or Embassy Visa

If your nationality is not eligible for e-Visa or visa on arrival, you must apply through the nearest Egyptian embassy or consulate before traveling.

🏖 Special Case: Sinai Resorts (Sharm El-Sheikh)

Visitors traveling directly to Sharm El-Sheikh, Dahab, Nuweiba, or Taba for up to 15 days may receive a free Sinai-only entry permission.

This permit does not allow travel outside the Sinai region.
